In an effort to simplify the tryout system within the City of London the London Jr. Knights and the Greater London Hockey Association have agreed upon a tryout system for players in the City of London that is intended to simplify hockey tryouts within the City of London and facilitate as much as possible all players within the City playing at their appropriate level.
With that in mind the following is a summary of the tryout procedure for the 2011-2012 season:
- All players wishing to play AAA, AA or A hockey (AA and A often being referred to as seeded hockey) must register with the London Jr. Knights and attend the London Jr. Knights tryouts.
- The London Jr. Knights will ice two teams at each age group (in the past the Jr. Knights have iced either two AAA teams and one AA team or one AAA team and two AA teams).
- Any player wishing to play AAA, AA or A hockey must:
- register with the London Jr. Knights and pay the appropriate tryout fee;
- attend the London Jr. Knights tryouts; and
- accept a London Jr. Knight playing card if that player makes a London Jr. Knights team.
- A player not wanting to tryout for AAA hockey may enter the London Jr. Knights tryouts at the AA level and pay a reduced tryout fee. Any players trying out for the Jr. Knights teams that do not make a London Jr. Knight team shall be released by the London Jr. Knights and the release shall be communicated by the Board of the London Jr. Knights to the Greater London Hockey Association.
The London Jr. Knights AAA tryouts for the 2011-2012 season shall commence on April 11th, 2011 and shall be completed by April 25th, 2011. The AA tryouts shall commence immediately thereafter.
For players not making a London Jr. Knight team the Greater London Associations’ tryouts shall commence in August 2011. |
